We spent most of the weekend paying an extreme amount of attention to her and treating her "babies," stuffed toys, with care. She seems to do better today. I am happy to know how much she enjoys being a mom since we will be breeding her again. So for now we are going to take care of her and let her play mom until she moves on.
So this weekend Wrigley was acting very strange. She built a nest out of the couch pillows and put her toys in the middle of the pile. She then proceeded to lay with her toys as if they were nursing. I checked the calendar for her last heat cycle and realized that if she would have been bred last heat cycle we would be having puppies. That is when I realized that Wrigley was going through false labor.

I have two female Weimaraners. Luna is 12, will be 13 on Thanksgiving, and Emmy is 10 (July 1st). Luna is starting to age and Emmy is so attached -- she can't be alone. I've always loved Weims and Vizsla's and think it might be time to add to the pack... so Luna can help "teach" the newcomer and Emmy can bond. I understand you don't have any puppies at this time, but do you know of reputable breeders in the area? Emmy is from Nani's Weimaraner's in Hancock County and she has been a dream
